Federal Government – Cheaper Home Batteries Rebate
- An upfront rebate that is deducted at the point of sale.
- Homeowners assign the rights to claim the rebate to Energy Makeovers on their behalf.
- Rebate is worth approximately $273 per kWh of solar batteries installed.
- Example: 12.8 (kWh battery) x $273= $3,494.40.
- All residential and business owners are eligible for this rebate for solar batteries from 5kWh to 50kWh.
- This rebate is not means tested.

Solar Victoria – Solar Homes program – solar panel interest free loan
- Available to customers with new and existing solar PV systems.
- Interest free loan of $8,800.00 – loan repayments $183.33 over 48 months.
- Loan amount is deducted from the upfront cost of a solar system at the point of sale.

- You are the owner-occupier of an existing property or the owner of a home under construction where the system is to be installed
- Combined household taxable income of all owners is less than $210,000 per year
- The value of the property is under $3 million (for an existing home or when construction is complete)
- Property address has not previously received a solar panel (PV) or solar battery rebate under this program
- The property address has not had a solar panel (PV) system installed in the last 10 years.
- You received a Solar Homes rebate and/or loan but have moved house. You can apply for another incentive at your new address as an owner-occupier if the property has not received these rebates before.
