You might have heard about the Victorian Energy Upgrades program, previously called VEET. This government-run program in Victoria helps homes and businesses make energy-efficient upgrades to their properties, typically with retrofit activities, to reduce its energy use and help Victoria decrease its carbon emissions as a whole.
Please note: As of 1st February 2023, FREE Lighting upgrades are no longer available for Victorian homes. This is in accordance with the Victorian Energy Upgrades program (VEU).
As of January 1, 2018, the Victorian Government will be decreasing the subsidies available for Commercial Lighting upgrades to LED. From the first day of the new year the subsidies will decrease by 15% (10% for linear fluorescent tubes) through to April. After April 1st the subsidies available for commercial LED upgrades will drop by 30% (20% for linear fluorescent tubes).
