At Energy Makeovers we’re always looking for the best ways to improve energy efficiency. We only use proven, reliable and effective energy saving products.
That’s why we we’re delighted to partner with GE Lighting to introduce a revolutionary LED downlight. It’s so efficient it uses just 7.5W (watts) to produce the same light output as a 50W halogen.
Energy Makeovers collaborated with GE to create this new LED downlight specifically for Australian energy efficiency standards.
GE engineered this next generation LED downlight to use mains power (240 volts). That means you completely eliminate your old transformer.
Many people think that a ‘low voltage’ transformer means they are efficient – not so. They can add 10 or more watts extra power use to your lighting. By replacing the inefficient halogen light and old transformer the GE LED downlight can save up to 87% in power.
Not all LEDs are equal. Unlike old school lights, LED lights are sophisticated electronic devices. The quality of components and design affect reliability and performance. GE engineer their LED lights using quality components and design for long life and high performance.
We’re proud to work with GE and their unmatched record for innovation in lighting.
GE was founded by Thomas Edison. He created the first practical electric light in 1879 after thousands of failures. Edison famously remarked “Genius is 1% inspiration and 99% perspiration”.
GE has never stopped inventing. In 1962 GE scientist Nick Holonyak invented the first visible light LED. After decades of refinement GE has made the LED light a practical energy-efficient replacement for old-style globes.
GE has successfully introduced LED lights into some of the hardest working lighting conditions in the world, such as the The Palazzo in Las Vegas or the famous Gleneagles five star hotel in Scotland.
Now you can enjoy these super efficient GE LED lights in your or business. At Energy Makeovers we make it easy for you to start saving with a complete upgrade service
Should you make the step and upgrade to LED? Are LEDs more energy efficient than other globes and if so, why? Find out here.
We answer the question - are LEDs more efficient that CFLs and is it worth your time upgrading your property from CFL to LED?
What is the difference between a standard downlight and an integrated modular (IC Rated) downlight? And, are they free to upgrade?
